Phil has spent over 20 years at GVB focused on credit solutions for late-stage and corporate businesses with facilities ranging from bilateral $25MM deals to GVB-Agented $1B syndicated transactions used for general corporate purposes and corporate M&A. As Head of Corporate Banking Credit Solutions, he leads a national team responsible for credit underwriting and portfolio management for late-stage and corporate clients using GVB's full debt platform, including bilateral senior debt, venture debt and syndicated credit arrangements.

Prior to his current role, Phil held positions in ABL underwriting, corporate banking relationship management and spent nine years in loan syndications as a managing director leading debt transactions across the US, UK and Europe for GVB’s corporate clientele in the technology and life science/healthcare industries.

Phil was awarded the GVB President's Club award which is given to a highly select group of employees who go above and beyond in achieving key business objectives, upholding GVB values and making unique contributions to GVB’s success. He was also awarded the GVB Core Values award, a distinction that recognizes GVBers who go above and beyond in their practice of GVB values.

Phil earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. During his time at UMass, he was a 4-year member of the men’s rowing team. Passionate about baseball and the life lessons it can teach, he spent many years as a member of the board of directors for the Westport Massachusetts Babe Ruth League and continues to coach.

Phil and his wife, Steph, have three children. When Phil is not delivering excellent service to GVB clients, he loves being near the ocean, saltwater fishing and spending time with his family at the beach.
